"Keystone Korner is not only a core part of the Baltimore music scene, but it's our cultural, musical home. Keystone Korner is one of the few places left in our country that truly values the gift of Jazz and brings in artists who have moved our souls for decades. We must save this precious and powerful place."
-- Kyra Phillips, ABC News
"The Keystone is a great and essential home for our music, and it needs to be supported and nurtured for the real treasure it is." -- Roy Ayers
Dear Keystone Family,
In times of crisis, we turn to music. Music lifts the spirit and heals the soul. That is exactly why Keystone Korner is fighting to keep the music alive. Jazz is an even more vital and healing force in today’s world than ever before. We need your help to preserve the living legacy of Jazz at Keystone Korner Baltimore.
"The Keystone Korner Baltimore is a beacon of great cultural significance. A jewel of the east coast music scene and an important presence among world class arts organizations. NEA Jazz Master Todd Barkan has devoted his whole life to honor and embolden the music he loves and the value of what he has created at Keystone Korner is beyond measure." -- Bill Charlap
Without hesitation, we have implemented important safety measures to protect the health of our community, but each day our fight grows more challenging to pay our performing artists, loyal staff, talented tech crew, and our exemplary chefs what they're worth, and to us they're worth everything. We need your help to maintain and advance the tradition of artistic excellence, love, and inspiration that is Keystone Korner.
Ticket sales cover just one-third of the costs of presenting the world-famous performers who inspire our community. We are creating this campaign in an effort to raise funds and relieve the pressures of talent and labor costs, rent and other expenses that have accrued since the COVID-19 pandemic began. We humbly ask that you share our story and contribute whatever you can to help cover these costs and help us to continue this vital mission.
"Keystone Korner Baltimore and its creators Todd Barkan and Robert Wiedmaier are divine blessings to our needy city. Not since the demise of the renowned Left Bank Jazz Society have Baltimoreans had world class genius jazz musicians play every week here. Spread the word!" --Billy Murphy
Thanks for the gift that got us here and the grace that lets us stay. We thank you for your support and look forward to connecting with you through the healing power and joy of music. Take care of the music and the music will take care of you.
With love,
Keystone Korner Baltimore
